Pranavi Chandra Velagapudi has been appointed as the captain of the Hyderabad Senior Women's cricket team for the upcoming BCCI Senior Women's T20 Trophy Elite 2026-27.
The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) announced the 15-member squad on October 6, 2026, ahead of the matches scheduled to take place in Pune, Maharashtra, starting from October 26, 2026.
Key Highlights of Her Career:
• Leadership Experience: She previously served as the vice-captain of the senior Hyderabad team for three years and has captained the Hyderabad U-19 and U-23 sides. She also led a senior Hyderabad squad to a trophy victory during a tour of Thailand.
• Domestic & Franchise Cricket: Pranavi has played for regional powerhouses like South Zone, Kerala (as a guest player last season), and Jharkhand. Notably, she was selected for the Velocity squad under Deepti Sharma in the Women's T20 Challenge in 2022.
• Overseas Experience: She has global exposure through playing league cricket in the United Kingdom (for Ealing and Bishop's Stortford clubs) and participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in Barbados.
