Deeksha Katragadda selected to India Under-19 women's cricket team

Deeksha Katragadda from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh is a rising Indian cricketer who plays as a wicketkeeper-batter for the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA). Known for her explosive batting, she was recently selected to represent the India Under-19 Women's Cricket Team for the bilateral series against Sri Lanka.

Career Highlights &  AchievementsNational India Selection: In June 2026, the BCCI named her to both the India Women's U19 T20 and One-Day squads for the IDFC First Bank series against Sri Lanka.

Record-Breaking Partnership: On January 3, 2026, she smashed a sensational 128 runs off just 53 balls in the Women's U15 One Day Trophy Elite against Saurashtra. She and her opening partner, Pushpitha Gowda K, put together an incredible 249-run opening stand in just 106 balls.

BCCI Elite Championship: At just 14 years old, she represented Andhra in the BCCI Women's All India U19 Elite Championship. She finished as the third-highest run-scorer in the country with the highest strike rate in the tournament.Domestic Dominance: Prior to her U19 success, she was the overall leading run-scorer across India in the BCCI U15 national championship.

Elite Academy Training: She trains at the MSK International Cricket Academy, under the personal guidance of former India wicketkeeper and ex-BCCI selection committee chairman MSK Prasad.
